Fluid Mixing

Gas turbine fuel systems are complex and involve the mixing of liquids and/or gases within the same systems. With the increased use and development of IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle) power plants, engineers are challenged with understanding the variable fuel types and qualities within the system.

Flowmaster V7 Gas Turbine has the ability to model the mixing of liquids or gases allowing systems engineers to track concentration changes as gas or liquid feedstocks are turned on and off. These changes in fluid properties are particularly important to users analysing process systems, as it will indicate how long it will take to purge one feedstock from a pipeline supply when a different feedstock is turned on (known as ‘Batching’).
