Simulation in China

To fulfill the growing demand for fluid flow simulation in China, Beijing Hi-key Technology Corporation Ltd has signed a distribution agreement with Flowmaster International Ltd to distribute “Flowmaster” - the worlds leading 1D fluid flow simulation software.

Hi-Key has over 7 years dedicated experience working with engineering simulation analysis software. With offices in Beijing and Shanghai, a team of highly experienced engineers support hundreds of commercial customers and research institutes helping them to fulfill their simulation requirements.

"We are very pleased to offer our customers in China, Flowmasters' suite of fluid flow simulation software. The synergy between our existing CFD business and system simulation solutions will allow our customers, especially in the Auto/Aero/Power/Ship industries to benefit hugely from earlier understanding of how their systems will operate. Earlier identification of problems, often before CAD geometry is available and the ability to study many concepts quickly, will increase our customers' productivity ultimately helping them to fulfill their goals, such as, meeting legislative demands and reducing the cost of physical testing."

Japanese Flowmaster Users Conference, Tokyo 2003

CRC Solutions Corporation, the Value Added Distributor for Flowmaster products and services in Japan, hosted the first Japanese User Conference this summer in Tokyo.

Over 50 users of Flowmaster attended this meeting, we would like to thank those organisations that presented papers: Toyota Motor Company, Mitsubishi Motor Company, Mitsubishi FUSO Truck & Bus, Aishin Seiki, Tokyo Gas and JGC Engineering Corporation as well as our guest speaker Dr Gerhard Regner of AVL, who presented a paper discussing 1D approaches to Vehicle Thermal Management Simulation.

For existing Flowmaster customers copies of the presentations are downloadable from our user section.

BMW Motoren GmbH, Steyr Austria and the Flowmaster Group

The collaboration between BMW Motoren GmbH, Steyr Austria and the Flowmaster Group has recently been rewarded with a very special gift, a 6-Cyclinder BMW diesel engine with Common Rail II Injection Technology, from the new 7 series. The engine is displayed in the entrance hall of the German Flowmaster office, AMSTRAL Engineering für Strömungsmechanik GmbH in Idstein. BMW Diesel Engine Research and Development use Flowmaster, the 1-D Simulation Program, for the simulation of injection systems, crankshaft ventilation, engine lubrication and cooling systems.

V6.3 out now!

April 2003 sees the launch of Flowmaster2/ V6.3, bringing new technology, new components and many more enhancements.

A significant development at V6.3 is the Air Side Visualiser and Segmenter (AVS) module, helping users to model air side systems much more productively. "We listened to our existing users who modelled air side systems and provided a set of tools to help them do more in less time" comments Paul Burns - Automotive Product Manager.

New enhancements provide improvements to air properties, increased humidity control, easy to use custom tool tips and advanced pipe drawing symbols.
