Flowmaster is developed and supported within our Quality Management System (QMS). The system has recently, November 2006, been externally audited by Det Norske Veritas, an accredited auditor, and has been awarded registration to BS-EN-ISO 9001:2000 & TickIT.
One of Flowmaster's key goals is continuous improvement in software quality. To achieve this we created our QMS, compliant to international standards, in 1995. The system covers all aspects of our business operation and includes specific procedures for the software life-cycle.
These procedures apply to all aspects of software development including:
Project statement of requirements
Project specification and resource planning
Version, archive and issue control
Design, code, unit test
Pre-release acceptance testing
Licensing and maintenance
ISO9001 applies to businesses that are involved in design, development, production, installation and servicing. The ISO9000-3 standard contains guidelines for applying ISO9001 requirements to the software industries and registration to this standard is referred to as TickIT. The TickIT standard applies to all types of information technology systems that include software development processes. It is fully supported by the UK software industry sectors.
